// Questions
Before you call, in case it saves you the call.
Do you work on home computers, or only businesses?
Both, from the same shop and the same technicians. Most people know Palm Desert
Geeks for business IT, but home computer repair has been half the bench since 2005. Walk in with a
laptop and you get the same people who run networks for valley businesses. Diagnostics on residential
work are free, you get a quote before anything starts, and seniors 65 and over and veterans get 10
percent off.
Where is your shop, and can I just walk in?
77564 Country Club Drive, Suite 220, Palm Desert, in the office complex on the
north side of Country Club. Walk-ins are welcome Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. No appointment
needed to drop a machine off. If you want to be sure someone is at the bench when you arrive, call
ahead at (760) 278-9676.
Which Coachella Valley cities do you actually cover?
On-site and house calls across Palm Desert, La Quinta, Indian Wells, Bermuda
Dunes, Indio, and Rancho Mirage, with Palm Springs and Cathedral City covered as well. Remote support
reaches anywhere. If you are outside the valley and want managed IT, call and we will tell you
honestly whether we are the right fit rather than stretching to cover you badly.
Are you a local shop or a national franchise?
Local, independent, and owner-operated since 2005. Same owner, same phone number,
same building. We are a member of the Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce. When you call, you are
not routed to a call center in another state and you are not handed to a different technician every
visit.
Do I have to buy IT and marketing together?
No. Plenty of clients use one side and never touch the other. The reason both
exist under one roof is that when a business does want a new website, a security cleanup, and an ad
campaign in the same quarter, it is one company, one point of contact, and no finger-pointing between
vendors when something breaks.
How much does managed IT cost, and is the first visit free?
The assessment is free. We come out, look at what you are actually running, and tell you what we would change and what it would cost. No charge, no obligation, and you keep the findings whether or not you hire us. Managed IT itself is billed as a flat monthly fee rather than by the hour, which means the bill does not spike in the month something breaks and we are not paid more when your systems fail. What that monthly number comes to depends on how many machines and servers you run and how much coverage you want, and pinning that down is exactly what the free assessment is for.
